CORNELIUS SEAFOOD RESTAURANT
Cornelius Seafood Restaurant is an atmospheric dining destination located on a small island with spectacular views – a boat trip only 25 minutes from Bergen city center.
The restaurant is recognized for fine food and a well stocked wine cellar. The seafood is treated with love in a simple, yet artistic cooking style. Cornelius is one of Norway’s best seafood restaurants and was awarded “Restaurant of the Year 2016”.
A meal at Restaurant 1877 is prepared with love and knowledge. The menu is built on the close relationship to local suppliers, and commitment to using the best raw ingredients. They are inspired by Norwegian food culture, in particular, Western Norway’s agricultural traditions. It is important that each course provides a unique experience with its own story.
The restaurant is located in the venerable “Kjøttbaseren” (meat bazaar) – the gateway to the famous “Bryggen” in the very heart of Bergen.
