This culinary excursion begins already when cruising out the city port, from Bergen’s famous Fish Market – a place with more than a thousand year history as a meeting place and trade center for cultural and culinary traditions. As you glide through one of the world ́s most fantastic `pantries ́, your captain share interesting stories about the local life and how Norwegians has been sourcing food from these waters over a decade; ingredients that today are exported to a large number of Michelin star restaurant all over Europe.
After 1 hour of sailing, you step ashore at a remote island, which in 2017 was bought by 3 seafood enthusiasts from Bergen, composed of unique expertise in the marine field. This 30.000 square meters idyllic island is located in the outskirt of the city, only reachable by boat.
Our vision is to teach others how to prepare fresh seafood outdoors, give an introduction to new species, whilst at the same time deliver an excellent dining experience based on our old “Naustkultur” traditions.
The menu is seasonally inspired and crafted from the freshest local ingredients available. Alongside the seafood, you’ll enjoy freshly baked bread, homemade mayonnaise and butter, and a sweet treat to finish.

Together, they bring the fjords to life – not only guiding you through charming waters but inviting you into their world. With the captain sharing tales of the sea and a culinary host eager to introduce you to local flavours, each experience becomes personal and unforgettable. Their joy in revealing hidden treasures and serving fresh-caught seafood is sure to make your journey truly special.
Alternative dishes can be arranged upon request, and if the weather calls for it, we can retreat to a cozy and authentic Norwegian boathouse.
